Installing Orb on iOS

This guide will walk you through the process of installing the Orb app on your iPhone or iPad.

System Requirements

• iOS version 13 or newer
• An Apple Account

Installation Steps

Step 1: Download Orb from the App Store

1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Search for "Orb.net" or use this direct link: Download Orb on the App Store.
3. Tap "Get" to download the app.
4. Wait for the download and installation to complete.

Step 2: Open the App

1. Once the installation is complete, tap "Open" or, alternatively, find the Orb app icon on your home screen and tap it.
2. Proceed through onboarding and permission requests.

Step 3: Onboarding and Permissions

When you first open the app, you will be guided through the onboarding process with a variety of information modals and permission requests:

1. Network Access: Required for discovering devices on your local network.
2. Location Services: Optional but recommended for accurate network information and location.
3. Notifications: Optional but recommended for alerts about network issues.

Tap "Allow" for each permission you wish to grant.

Troubleshooting

App Download Issues

If you're having trouble downloading the app:

1. Check your internet connection.
2. Make sure you have enough free space on your device.
3. Verify that you're signed in to the App Store with your Apple ID.
4. Restart your device and try again.

App Won't Open

If the app downloads but won't open:

1. Restart your device.
