This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you access or use our websites, mobile applications, and other online products and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, our “Services”) and when you otherwise interact with us, such as through our customer support channels or on social media. You may use our Services for personal purposes (including for your family or household) or for business purposes (including internal business use or on behalf of another person or entity). We may provide different or additional notices of our privacy practices for certain offerings; in which case those notices will supplement or replace the disclosures in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect Automatically

  • Transactional Information: When you complete a transaction, such as making a purchase, we collect information such as product details, purchase price, and the date and location of the transaction.
  • Device, Usage, and Activity Information: We collect information about how you access our Services, including data about the device and network you use (such as your hardware model, operating system version, mobile network, IP address, unique install identifiers, browser type, Wi-Fi connection, service set identifier (“SSID”) and app version). We also collect information about your activity on our Services, including the route by which you access our Services, access dates and times, browsing behavior (such as pages viewed and links clicked), and app usage details (such as features used, crash reports, and performance metrics). Additionally, any information you voluntarily provide through feedback forms, surveys, bug reports, or other data related to improving the Services will be collected.
  • Precise Geolocation Information: With your consent, we may collect information about the precise location of your device. You may stop the collection of precise location information at any time (see the Your Choices section below for details).

Information We Collect from Other Sources

We obtain information from other sources. For example, we use services like IPinfo or Maxmind to determine the geolocation based on IP address. This information includes city, state/province, postal code, and country.

If you create or log into your Orb account through a third-party platform (such as Facebook or Google), we will have access to certain information from that platform, such as your name, birthday, profile picture, username, and any other information the third-party platform discloses about you, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such platform.

Information We Derive

We may derive information or draw inferences about you based on the information we collect. For example, we may infer your approximate geographic area (such as a neighborhood or city) based on your device’s IP address or network information. We may also analyze usage patterns and network performance data to identify trends, such as whether multiple users in a particular area are experiencing similar connectivity issues. These inferences are used to improve our Services, provide relevant analytics, and help us understand and communicate broader network trends.

USE OF INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to diagnose network issues, improve functionality, and enhance user experience of the Services.

We also use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our products and Services;
  • Develop new products and services;
  • Personalize your experience with us;

  • Trusted Providers. We make personal information available to our trusted providers (vendors, service providers, contractors and consultants) who perform services on our behalf, such as companies that assist us with app development, web hosting, and analytics.
  • Integration Partners. If you choose to use integrations we offer on our Services, such as creating an account, we provide certain information to the integration partners like Logto.
  • Law Enforcement Authorities and Individuals Involved in Legal Proceedings. We disclose personal information in response to a request for information if we believe that disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
  • To Protect the Rights of Orb and Others. We may disclose personal information if we believe that your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, if we believe that you have violated the law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of Orb, our users, the public, or others.
  • Professional Advisors. We disclose personal information to our legal, financial, insurance, and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.

DATA RETENTION

We store personal information associated with your account for as long as your account remains active. We will delete personal information related to your account after you close your account or after a period of account inactivity. We store other personal information for as long as necessary to carry out the purposes for which we originally collected it and for other business purposes explained in this Privacy Policy.

YOUR CHOICES

Account Information

You can access, correct, and delete certain information stored within your Orb account at any time by logging in and navigating to the settings menu.

Precise Location Information

When you first launch any of our apps that collect precise location information, you will be asked to consent to the app’s collection of this information. If you initially consent to our collection of such location information, you can subsequently stop the collection of this information at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device.

Communications Preferences

You may opt out of receiving promotional emails from Orb by following the instructions in those communications. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account.

Mobile Push Notifications

With your permission, we may send push notifications to your mobile device. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on your mobile device.

We do not engage in sales, sharing, or targeted advertising using personal information about consumers we know to be under the age of 16, or higher age where required by law.
