Since launching Orb on April 30th, we’ve been heads-down, dialing up power, polish, and platform support across the board. Whether you're a casual user or a network nerd, there's something new for you.

🎯 Share Your Orb Score

Just tap or click the ... menu on your Orb and choose Share Orb Score. Whether you're flexing on Bluesky or calling out your ISP, it's now just one tap to show off your Orb Score to friends, family, and followers.

🔔 Configurable Notifications

Choose when and how Orb notifies you of network disruptions. Find the new options in the Notifications menu.

🪟 Windows: Launch at Startup

Keep Orb ready to go—Windows users can now enable Orb to launch automatically at startup. macOS support for this capability is coming soon. Find these options in the ⚙️ Settings menu.

Forgot your password? Now you can reset it directly from the app.

📶 Better Suggestions for “Improve Connection” feature

Our suggestions are now more actionable and better tailored to your specific connection conditions.

🔍 Enhanced Device Discovery

Orb now does a better job finding devices on your network.

📱 Android: Back Button Support

A small touch, a big relief. The back button now works exactly as you'd expect on Android.

🪟 Windows: First Hop Reporting

Improved first hop discovery and reporting means more accurate diagnostics on Windows.


Measurement Optimizations

🌐 Core Latency & Lag Tuning

Orb now handles funky networks like in-flight Wi-Fi or hotel portals with greater measurement precision.

📊 Cross-Verified Responsiveness

We now use multiple independent sources to cross-check responsiveness and eliminate inconsistencies.

🧪 New Measurement Protocol

More realistic, more robust. Orb's latest responsiveness protocol better mirrors real-world internet conditions.

💥 Refined Packet Loss Detection

We've improved packet loss detection to flag true connection issues more accurately.
